Privacy Policy · Contract Maker
Privacy is part of how Contract Maker is built.
Your agreement data starts locally on your device. This page explains what is stored, what leaves the app only when you choose it, and how protection, backups, purchases, and support work.
Privacy at a glance
The essentials before the details
Policy scope
This policy applies to Contract Maker: Agreements, published by Codekenz and named «عقدي: عقود واتفاقيات» in Arabic. Preparing and saving documents in the app does not require a Codekenz account. The app does not automatically upload your agreements to developer servers, use advertising tracking or send usage analytics to the developer.
01Data stored on your device
The app keeps drafts, answers and party details you enter in its local storage. Data may include the business profile name, email, phone number, address, country, tax identifier and selected logo, together with header copies retained within documents.
Document records also contain local identifiers, template information and versions, document language and currency, status, and creation and update times. Signed documents retain copied signature images, signer names, printed signature dates, completion times and a content binding fingerprint. The fingerprint helps detect content changes; it is not legal verification or proof of identity.
When saved document formatting is used, a signed agreement retains the displayed text, formatting choices and printed signature dates. Later region or digit preferences do not automatically change captured text. Names and text you enter remain as typed.
02Favorites and recently used templates
The app stores public template identifiers selected as favorites and identifiers for the last ten templates used to create agreements, in most recent order. This list contains no party names, agreement answers, private document identifiers or document dates. Opening template details or changing a favorite does not create an agreement.
Use the star to remove a favorite. If the list cannot be loaded, the app offers retry or a confirmed reset. Resetting these preferences does not delete agreements or their data. Favorites and recent template lists are not sent to Codekenz.
The app bundle includes one completed fictional Arabic example and one completed fictional English example for every template. These read-only examples are not built from your agreements, parties or business profile. Opening one does not create a draft or save data.
03Logos and local signatures
When you choose a logo through the system photo picker, the app processes that selected image and keeps a copy suitable for the header. It does not send the logo to the developer. A header already copied into an agreement remains independent of the editable business profile.
You can draw a local signature or select a previously saved image, choosing the signer and date. Apply to this session is temporary until local signing is completed. Canceling the session does not save its drawing as an applied signature. On completion, the agreement retains its image copy on signature pages after the body, accessible through View signatures.
Saving a signature image for reuse is optional and requires consent. Deleting a reusable image does not remove copies already applied to agreements. Confirming and changing signed content invalidates its applied signatures and returns it to a draft for review and signing again. This feature does not provide remote identity verification or legal certification.
04Optional writing assistance
When you request help for a selected description field, the app uses Apple’s default model on the device when the device, OS and language support it and the model is available. This workflow receives the selected field’s text with writing instructions, not the full agreement, other answers, party directory, business profile, images or signatures. Your selected text may itself contain personal information; review it before requesting assistance.
The original and suggested text appear for review. A suggestion replaces your answer only after explicit acceptance and a successful save. Manual entry remains available if assistance is unavailable, a request fails or it is refused. This feature does not use a cloud writing provider or automatically fall back to one. The helper does not provide legal advice.
Contract messages are temporary local drafts that you review before copying or sharing. When opened from an agreement, a limited set of facts can be selected; inclusion is off by default and the agreement file is not attached automatically. Optional message rewriting uses Apple's on-device model and receives only the visible message draft and its language; that text may contain facts you chose to include. It does not receive signature images or the full agreement database. The message session is cleared when the app enters the background. Copying places text on the system clipboard; sharing delivers it to your chosen destination under its settings and policies.
Reminders are optional and local. The app requests Apple's notification permission when you enable them. The system receives the scheduled time, a local identifier and generic text; the notification contains no agreement title, party names, amounts or clause text. The system displays it according to your settings. You can disable or delete the reminder in the app.
05Siri and Shortcuts
Shortcuts expose bundled public template information for search, opening and starting a draft with a selected template and language. The app does not expose your private agreements, party names or answers as template entities in Siri or Shortcuts. Apple’s system handles shortcut invocations under its settings and policies. Invoking a shortcut does not give Codekenz access to private documents.
06Saving, sharing, printing and system backups
The app may create a temporary PDF for sharing. It attempts to clean up the temporary delivery files it owns when the workflow finishes, with a retry if cleanup fails. This does not delete copies you saved or sent to another destination.
A Pro user can explicitly export the agreement portfolio as CSV. By default it contains metadata and excludes clause text, answers and signatures. Party names are a separate option that is off by default. The app attempts to delete its temporary copy after sharing or cancellation, but a file you save or send may be unencrypted text at its destination.
A document file leaves the app’s storage when you choose a destination, share it or print through system tools. Your chosen sharing app, file provider or printing service may operate outside the device. Recipients and providers process their copies under their own policies. You choose the destination; agreements are not automatically sent to the developer.
Device backups managed by iOS, iPadOS or a computer may include app data depending on your backup, account and destination settings. Review your backup provider’s settings. The app does not provide synchronization to Codekenz servers. You can create a separate encrypted backup file from Settings → Backup & Restore, as described below.
07Optional app lock
You can enable app lock in Settings using Apple’s device-owner authentication: Face ID, Touch ID or the device passcode, depending on your device and settings. The app does not create a separate PIN or receive your face image, fingerprint or device passcode. The lock preference is kept in the device’s local Keychain.
This lock protects access to the app’s interfaces on this device. It is not separate encryption of the entire database, and it does not protect PDFs or copies exported outside the app. Local storage uses the operating system’s Data Protection; we do not promise protection of every external copy or impossibility of access under all circumstances.
08Encrypted backups and restore
Creating a backup is optional and does not require Pro. A backup contains agreements, parties, the business profile, saved reusable signatures, applied signatures and saved document formatting. It is encrypted on the device with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from the password you enter with PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256. The app does not store the password or key, and Codekenz cannot recover them. Keep the password separately in a safe place.
You choose where to save the encrypted file through Files or the system destination. That destination may be an external file provider with its own policy; this is not automatic Codekenz synchronization. Restore needs the file and its password, and shows a preview before explicit confirmation. It adds new items and skips identical copies. A different copy with the same identifier rejects the entire restore instead of replacing existing data. The backup does not include Pro purchase entitlements, the app-lock Keychain setting or the backup password.
A shared PDF and an encrypted backup have different purposes. Deleting an item in the app does not delete copies or backups saved with another provider. Review a backup before removing the app or moving to another device.
09Optional purchases through Apple
Free provides 8 templates without a monthly usage quota. Pro is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks 17 additional templates, password-protected PDF copies, additional local reminders, eight additional contract-message purposes and new CSV portfolio exports; it is not a recurring subscription. Apple handles purchases and restoration of purchases. The app checks product, transaction and entitlement information through StoreKit. It does not request payment-card details or send agreement answers or signature images to verify a purchase.
Apple services may need an internet connection and are governed by Apple’s policies and your account settings. The price and currency shown before purchase come from Apple for your storefront; this page does not promise a worldwide price. Restoring purchases does not restore agreement files, and importing a backup does not grant Pro.
10Retention and deletion
Local app data remains until you delete its items or remove the app. You can delete an agreement from its menu after confirmation, delete a party from its screen, delete the business profile or edit its logo in Settings, and delete reusable images in the saved signature library. Removing signatures applied to an agreement is a separate confirmed action.
Deleting a saved party, business profile or reusable image does not delete independent copies already captured in agreements. Deleting an agreement or removing the app does not delete PDFs you exported or sent, copies held by others or provider-managed system backups. Manage those copies at their destinations; Codekenz cannot delete them on your behalf.
11Voluntary support contact
If you email codekenz@hotmail.com, Codekenz receives the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, message and attachments. The email provider also handles message data under its policies. The app does not automatically attach an agreement, signature or account data to a support message.
Correspondence is used to respond to and follow up on your request and is retained only as needed for those purposes and applicable retention requirements. You can request deletion of support correspondence at the same address, within Codekenz’s control and the requirements that apply. Do not send a complete agreement, card information or passwords. Redact sensitive details from examples and screenshots you choose to send.
12Page scope and external services
This policy describes app data. Visiting the website, using email and selecting file or sharing destinations involve separate services. The hosting provider may process ordinary connection information to deliver the page. Email and file providers may process data you send under their policies. This does not mean the app uploads agreements to the website.
The app does not request or process your card details in its local workflow. We do not sell your agreement data or automatically transmit it to the developer. Local templates, images and signatures do not establish legal review or certification for a particular situation.
