Important: Codekenz Support will not ask for your Apple Account password, payment-card information, PDF password, App Lock secret, or a complete EasyScanner library by default.

Quick start

Capture a page and review it before saving

  1. Open Scan, choose All Scan Modes, and select the appropriate document, ID, card, book, slide, whiteboard, or batch path.
  2. Capture a page with the camera, or choose Images or Files to import a source you already have.
  3. Review the page boundary, orientation, and filter. Retake or correct the result when needed.
  4. Choose Keep only after reviewing the result. For a batch, review and arrange the pages you want to keep.
  5. Open Files to reopen the document, organize it with folders and tags, search it, and export or share when you choose.
  6. Create a current local ZIP backup or export important documents before replacing the device or removing the app. Read the encryption warning before sharing a backup.

Lifetime Pro

Free use and Lifetime Pro

  • Standard manual or automatic scanning, page review, folders, tags, local organization, and selected basic tools are available without purchase.
  • Current Free allowances include 10 committed OCR pages per month, two shared advanced-PDF operations per month, and one Office export per month, subject to the page and size limits shown in the app.
  • Lifetime Pro unlocks saving ID, mixed-card and slide results; automatic or high-speed batch capture; high-resolution export; saving copies to Photos; advanced PDF actions; and visible-signature templates with batch placement. It removes the free monthly OCR allowance.
  • Supported document, device, memory, and resource limits continue to apply to Free and Pro.
  • Lifetime Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase, not a subscription. The App Store displays the current localized price before purchase.
  • Use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account that made the original purchase. Restoring Pro does not restore device documents or local backup files.
  • Future AI or cloud credits are not included in the current Lifetime Pro purchase.

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Where are my documents stored?

The EasyScanner library is stored in the app’s local space on the device. The current release does not require an EasyScanner account and does not automatically synchronize documents through a Codekenz-operated server.

Does EasyScanner work offline?

Capture, review, local organization, local search, and most document tools do not require a continuous connection. Displaying the Lifetime Pro price, purchasing, or restoring may require App Store services. OS-managed language or model preparation may contact Apple services when the system requires it.

Why does EasyScanner request Camera, Photos, or Face ID access?

Camera access is requested when you start camera capture. System pickers select images and files, and add-only Photos access is requested when you choose to save a copy there. Face ID is used only when you enable App Lock. These permissions are not used for advertising or tracking.

How do I review the page crop?

After capture, review the boundary, corner points, orientation, and filter before choosing Keep. If the boundary is wrong, adjust the crop or retake the page instead of saving a result you do not want.

Why can’t search find text inside a document?

A scanned image is not automatically text-searchable. OCR must finish and produce stored text for that document before search can match recognized Arabic or English text.

How do I move documents to another device?

Create a Local Backup in Settings and save the ZIP in a destination you control, or export important documents separately. The local ZIP is unencrypted, and anyone with access can open its included PDFs. Store it securely. Import adds PDF documents and does not delete the documents already in the library.

What is Persistent Files storage, and is it a backup?

When you configure a Files folder and storage password, EasyScanner stores committed regular documents there as password-protected PDFs that can survive app deletion. This is persistent external storage, separate from the local ZIP backup, and is not a complete backup by itself. Moving a document to Protected Folder queues one final Files update, which can remain pending while the folder is unavailable. The external PDF stays outside App Lock and is not updated again while the document remains protected. Keep the password safe and delete outside copies separately when you no longer need them.

Are Protected Folder or Trash items included in the local ZIP?

No. Protected Folder and Trash items are excluded. Restore a Trash item or export a protected item separately when you need a copy.

What is the difference between App Lock and PDF protection?

App Lock protects access to EasyScanner on the device when enabled. PDF protection creates a password-protected file for use outside the app. Keep passwords safely; Codekenz Support cannot recover them for you.

What should I do if library metadata cannot be verified?

Keep the device unlocked and EasyScanner in the foreground, then use Retry once. Do not delete the app or erase the library. Recovery mode blocks new writes to protect existing files and does not reset them automatically. If validation still fails, preserve the protected recovery package and any encrypted device backup from when the library worked. Files in the package remain encrypted and cannot be opened as ordinary PDFs without the original encryption keys; technical filenames remain visible inside its ZIP. The package does not repair or reset the library. Contact Support without sending confidential documents unless necessary and agreed.

How do I restore Lifetime Pro?

Open Settings, choose View Lifetime Pro, and tap Restore Purchases while using the Apple Account that made the original purchase. Restore may require Apple services and is separate from importing a ZIP or recovering device documents.

Why is my purchase still pending?

EasyScanner does not enable Pro until StoreKit reports and verifies the completed purchase. Do not immediately start a second purchase. Use Check Purchase Status or Restore Purchases and wait for the App Store when payment approval is pending.

What happens after a refund or revocation?

Apple may remove the Lifetime Pro entitlement after a refund or revocation. Local documents remain on the device, and later actions return to the current Free limits. Revocation does not automatically delete your documents.

How do I request a refund?

Apple determines refund eligibility and processes approved requests. Use Apple’s official refund route. Codekenz Support can help diagnose a technical problem or restore a purchase when appropriate, but cannot guarantee Apple’s decision or a fixed processing time.

Which systems and languages are supported?

The first EasyScanner release is available for iPhone and iPad and requires iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 or later. It supports Arabic and English, Light, Dark, and System appearance. Some capabilities vary with device and system resources.
